A friend of Tutubi went to Iloilo recently on official business and went to Boracay as his "huling hirit sa tag-init." He took the Ceres bus from Iloilo to Caticlan to get to Boracay.
Tutubi is now sharing this information on how to get to Boracay from Iloilo, you have two choices: either take a GM Bus/Ceres Liner bus to Caticlan or v-hires/shuttle/vans from Iloilo to Caticlan.
Ceres Liner buses can take you to Caticlan (fare: PhP325.00) with travel time of around 6 hours with at least two stop-overs (snacks comfort breaks in usually not-so-orderly toilets). (Iloilo to Caticlan fare for ordinary buses not available and Tutubi recommends aircon buses for such long trips)
Ceres Liner earliest trip from Iloilo to Caticlan is at 430am. Return trip (earliest) Caticlan to Iloilo is at 630am.
Ceres Liner also ply the Cubao to Iloilo route that pass by Caticlan and Kalibo (contact number: +63.2.400.1208). Ceres uses the Araneta Center Bus terminal near Ali Mall in Cubao.

Ceres Transport is the sister company plying the Manila to Batangas City route
How to get to Boracay from Bacolod? Ceres Liner Bacolod can take you directly to Caticlan or you need to take Bacolod to Iloilo ferry then an Iloilo to Caticlan bus.

ReplyDeleteanonymous, take the van/bus from caticlan to Iloilo. In Iloilo, take the ferry to Bacolod with regular schedules (travel time here is around 1 hour). I don't know if there's a direct flight from Caticlan to Bacolod

ReplyDeletePalpak ang ceres. Were waiting for almost 6hrs pag baba namin ng roxas port. Nasira kasi yung bus namin. Sabi ng conductor at driver may padating ng resque but til now were still waiting for that resque whatsoever. Umabsent na ko dahil sa kapalpakan nila. Ano bang klaseng management meron ang ceres?? Badtrip!!!
