A bit of surprise news from MMDA where they will implement the suspension of number coding scheme, formally called Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) starting Tuesday (March 26, 2013) until Friday (March 29, 2013). The MMDA usually suspends "color coding" on Holy Thursday and Good Friday only.

MMDA number coding bans a vehicle with certain last digit to travel on certain days from 7am to 10am and 3pm to 7pm. There's a number coding window of 10am to 3pm where those banned from the roads can safely travel without fear of a traffic violation ticket (TVR).
In Pasig City, number coding is from 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm. Travel window of 10am 'til 4pm.
Note that in Makati, number coding remains in effect on March 25, March 26 and March 27 (Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday and Holy Wednesday) due to its being the independent "Republic of Makati," and suspended on Holy Thursday (march 28, 2013) and Good Friday (March 29, 2013).
Besides Metro Manila, Baguio City has similar number coding scheme implemented in Baguio CBD.
most will have exodus on the province so its gonna be a traffic-free week on the metro. :)

lawstude, metro is not much of a ghost town during holy week unlike in those days. Experienced it last year. I think many people discovered how nice Metro Manila is during holy week even without the malls on Holy thursday and good friday :P
