LRT MRT Holy Week Train Schedules

For people, either by choice or by "force" staying in Metro Manila, herewith is the operating schedules of Manila's LRT and MRT for the benefit of the commuting public.

Basically, the MRT, LRT and LRT2 will cease operating on Holy Thursday up to Easter Sunday for maintenance (as there's also na expected drop in passenger volume) and will resume normal operations on April 9, 2012. This is consistent with their released annual announcements of the previous years.

MRT, LRT and LRT 2 Schedules for Holy Week 2013:

March 25, 2013 Monday NORMAL SCHEDULE 5am to 11pm
March 26, 2013 Tuesday NORMAL SCHEDULE 5am to 11pm
March 27, 2013 Wednesday NORMAL SCHEDULE 5am to 11pm
March 28, 2013 Maundy Thursday CLOSED
March 29, 2013 Good Friday CLOSED
March 30, 2013 Black Saturday CLOSED
March 31, 2013 Easter Sunday CLOSED
April 1, 2012 Start of Normal operations


Normal schedules of MRT trains: Mondays to Sundays is from 5am to 11pm while the usual operating hours of LRT and LRT 2 is from 5am to 11pm on weekdays and 5am to 930pm on weekends.

Note that first trip for the MRT is Southbound (North Avenue to Taft Avenue) at 5am. The same train will embark on the return trip about 3o minutes later.

The last trip for MRT Southbound leaves North Avenue station about 10pm and the same train will leave Taft Avenue about 1030pm (this is so because the MRT train depot is near North Avenue station beside Trinoma)

MRT tickets costs only P15 for the entire length from North Avenue station up to Taft Avenue while LRT fare starts at P10.

LRT will soon be operating from North Avenue (in front of SM City North EDSA and will be linked with MRT North Avenue Station and Trinoma). LRT Roosevelt Station and Balintawak station are now operational with travel time Baclaran in Paranaque City in less than an hour.
