Colorful Photos of Makati Caracol Festival 2010

Just this morning Tutubi went to Makati to cover Caracol 2010 (Caracol 2010 Schedule posted earlier) and got to take pictures of parade participants in colorful costumes and was also able to meet, albeit for such a few seconds, the blogger behind Traveler on Foot who texted him a few hours earlier to inquire about Caracol Schedule.

Comments: Caracol Festival 2010 didn't start on time, just like earlier reported editions of the festival that always jibe with Cebu's Sinulog festival, Kalibo's Ati-atihan, or Iloilo's Dinagyang Festival. The advertised time of activities was 2pm but the actual parade started around 4pm. It was, however, a photographer's day as many shutterbugs (even a bunch of lomography enthusiasts) trooped to the deserted Ayala Avenue for colorful photo-op to the extent of blocking and interrupting the actual parade to capture the perfect shot.

    lol nice statement... syang didnt saw you there, as if naman i know the face of tutubi. was there early pero di ko na naantay ang parade.

    pusa, late na nga nag-start as in past four na. i took pictures of the parade but left without watching the street dance contest proper. kawawa mga bata dun aga pa lang pagod na. pero kung nakita kita batiin kita and/or take your picture hehe

    the dong, sayang didn't know or texted. some other time...dami pa naman photo-op na darating like the Aliwan Fiesta 2010 :P

    bw, right you are, the Ati-atihan is really the mother of all festivals in the Philippines. It's just sad that you really can't distinguish which is which from pictures for the costumes all look the same.

    A friend (also an MIPer) and I are supposed to go there but wasn't able to make because of some priorities when Sunday came. Sayang, we could have meet there :)

    uy jhona, lakas ng loob mo yaya road test kotse ko, baka pag tumirik yun di ka na sumakay uli :( may pasok kim on feb13 pero aga dapat alis punta clark to catch balooners preparing for flight na rin
