Welcome arch of the so called Science City of Munoz along Maharlika Highway
The Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) was created through Republic Act 3707, known as the Carabao Act of 1992, the pet law of Joseph "Erap" Estrada. PCC undertakes preservation of the Philippine water buffalo and involved in research of improving the species by cross-breeding. There is another center in Bukidnon that Tutubi was able to visit in 2003.

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) is noted for its old trees, model farms, gardens, an Agricultural Museum (CLSU)promoting the cultural heritage of Filipinos in Central Luzon and a Living Fish Museum (CLSU) showcasing indigenous and tropical freshwater fishes of Luzon.
There also is the Philippine Rice Research Institute but the picture was too blurred to be published here. Note that PhilRice is a separate entity from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Los Banos Laguna.
How to Get to Muñoz, Nueva Ecija:
Driving Directions: On NLEX, take Sta. Rita Exit then just follow the route that will lead to Pulilan, Plaridel, Baliuag, San Ildefonso, and San Miguel, Gapan, San Leonardo, Sta. Rosa, Cabanatuan City, Talavera, then finally Muñoz.
Those with motorcycles or want to avoid toll fees on NLEX can opt to go via MacArthur Highway passing through Caloocan, Valenzuela, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Balagtas, Guiguinto (Tabang), Plaridel, Pulilan, Baliuag, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, San Miguel , Gapan, San Leonardo, Sta. Rosa, Cabanatuan City, Talavera, then finally Muñoz.
Commute: Bus to Munoz, Nueva Ecija is serviced by bus companies on EDSA, Cubao Quezon City e.g. Baliwag Transit, Five Star Transit et al with signboards Santiago or Tuguegarao. Buses going to Banaue also pass by the city.
Science City; the name reminds me of the place which is called technology city here in Malaysia and the place is named Cyberjaya.

i'm from nueva ecija, but i 've been to munoz only once during a regional contest i participated in as a high school student.my tita's family lives there. some of my high school classmates graduated from CLSU.a cousin teaches there, too. haay, munoz makes me remember a lot of things.hehe.
