Zamboanga City: Maria Clara Art Gallery

Just a jeepney ride from the city center, near the Yakan Weaving Village and inside La Vista del Mar restaurant is a quiant art gallery named after the former mayor of Zamboanga Hermosa.

While waiting for the curacha to be cooked at La Vista del Mar, Tutubi and his friends took a night stroll to the nearby art gallery which was already closed but the caretaker accommodated the group and even let Tutubi take pictures of the various items on display.

native handicrafts on display are also for sale

Note: all items on display are the property of their respective creators and therefore copyrighted. Pictures taken using Canon 300D kitlens at ISO 1600.

  4. I apologize for hijacking this post's comment function for a bit. I'm currently undertaking my undergrad thesis on spatial representation and discourse, a study my group and I have anchored on Zamboanga City and online information effectively surrounding it. Would you be willing to play respondent for one or two interview emails? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Thank you in advance. Apologies as well. We consulted with faculty advisers and it seems an email questionnaire would not suffice. Simply, we'd be grilled at thesis defense for such an impersonal method of acquiring data, insufficient, even, for a qualitative study.

The questions would touch on two things, mainly: the blog as a medium (the hows of your blogging) and contextual influences (the whys of your blogging).

Can we schedule an instant messenger communication with you instead? If you would accept, please advise us as to which IM service you use. And we could, if you prefer, submit a a questionnaire via email before the interview.

Again, we apologize. Please consider our updated request.
