Old Swiss Inn: Makati's Taste of Switzerland

A recent visit to a Swiss-themed fine dining restaurant in Makati, originally owned by a Swiss national. Not too much words but more storytelling using pictures as Tutubi has been awefully busy these past few days. A full-course meal that'll surely whet your appetite :P

the bar of Old Swiss Inn
waiters and servers don uniforms that remind you of Switzerland without the Alpine weather
a generous amount of sausages served on "a silver platter" was served. Picture blurred due to Tutubi's hunger-triggered shaky hands
the deliciously good goulash, a spicy soup originally from Magyar country (Hungary)
pepper steak, well-done. wonder why nobody seems to eat those bloody steaks here in the Philippines-- because they're rare!

fish steak that Tutubi found too fishy for his taste.Nice presentation though

Dessert came with chocolate fondue that tasted like melted Toblerone chocolate served with fruits and marshmallows.

Tutubi has no idea of the price but sure is pricey by his standards. The place is frequented by foreigners and ex-pats in Makati as well as people looking for a nice quiet place within walking distance from Makati CBD (Central Business District).

  1. Love that place. Medyo memorable yang place na yan sa mga dati kong ka-lakbay. Fave ko yung fondue. It is a 'melted toblerone nga. Heaven yang place na yan for chocolate lovers. hehe

  6. Wow, the food sure looks good! But I'm sure the price is beautiful too! I've never seen a Swiss restaurant here but there are French and German restos here.

    :D

  7. Switserland is a great place, but very expensive. I spent two weeks there a few years back, my kids loved it, but it nearly ruined me.
I guess when you go there walks are the best solution.
But then I like taking the lifts and so on. The lift to take me up to the Matterhorn cost me a fortune. Really!

  8. Ah, yes, I love a good steak as well. But not bloody, I dont mind it being red inside, but I don't really like the blood pooring on to my plate. I do a good pepper steak myself.
