Angel Cacnio and Bahay Parokyano Art Galleries in Malabon
Angel Cacnio has won coin design contests of the Central Bank of the Philippines in 1967 where his designs won first prizes for the Lapu-Lapu one centavo coin and the Marcelo H. Del Pilar 50 centavo coin. His designs commissioned by the Central Bank for the P100 and P20 bills are still in circulation.

The last stop of the Malabon tour was a visit to Bahay Parokyano, an art gallery with exhibits from Malabon's budding artists

Ballerina brass sculpture by Ferdinand "Ferdie" Cacnio at Bahay ParokyanoFerdie Cacnio, in 2005, won 2nd place in Art Association of the Philippines (AAP) Annual Art Competition. He also listed large mixed-metal sculpture “Pasasalamat (Thanksgiving)” which stands prominently in Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Bahay Parokyano is similar to Paete's Kape Kesada where young, promising artists can hone and display their works of art

It's great that you're always educating us about arts and artists in the Philippines Tutubi. I've never heard of Angel Cacnio before and it would indeed be interesting to visit his house/museum. I love that clock!

If I were also an artist, I'd turn my house into an art gallery. I know someone who turned his house in Antipolo into a gallery and is now a party place for rent. He's not even an artist... just an art patron.

kyels, i was only able to watch sparring sessions of sabong. never been inside the cockpit where people congregate. i was thinking of taking pictures of cockfights (sidney has a series on that) plus horseracing
ghee, so you're from malabon. my friends and i are planning an "unplanned" return trip there mainly to discover food places
