Wawa Park submerged
Bird Watching mode (wish I could zoom in). Chinese egrets can be seen from a distance but my lens can't zoom in
The boat by the lake. You can also see the long tube that connects Laguna de Bay to Caliraya lake
I love Laguna the Bay and the cities along its shores. You also got fabulous churches there.

ReplyDeletei can see that you took the picture probably from the service road leading to wawa facing the southeast side. also i can see fish traps or rather shrimp traps beneath those bamboo poles and the two elongated looking green islets are bumbon, a kind of fish trap harvested periodically by means of small purse seine. not too long ago, that general location was almost always inaccessible to fishermen due to thick outgrowth of aquatic reeds and weeds. brb

ReplyDeletethe park was submerged? interesting. is this a regular effect of the tides? the trend was that laguna de bay is getting more shallow. if this is an irregular occurence, perhaps it's due to the damming of the lake to prevent water from going to the pasig river, which the lake's fishermen have been protesting as interfering with the lake's natural cycles.
