mon ami
Just sharing a nice picture of a French I met on a boat from Elephanta Island off the coast of Mumbai, India summer 2004.

The picture is actually our wedding card, an image we used to invite our friends to the party and let them know about us.
I had this idea when looking for an original design for that card. I like artists who try to deal with time in photography, like Barry Frydlender. It's simply the same people at different moments in a single frame (or space). Well, it seems simple but I guess it's a sort of revolution in photography since the photographer can emancipate himself from the moment the shot is done. Am I clear?
Technically, it's not that difficult. Just shot people several times from an unmoving point and in a short period of time (to avoid light changes). Do it with a wide angle or, if you prefer, divide the space into 3 and shot the left side, the centre and the right side successively. The rest is photoshop (use all the tools to wipe details…). Avoid sets with a lot of architectural details for you'll have trouble with "gluing" the pics.
I'll send you another example done on a windy beach in winter if you want to share it.
This type of picture requires some skills but actually, it takes more time and patience than professionalism.
Now, Frydlender is interesting because of his political use of those pictures (for example, disguised israelis policemen approaching a building in Gaza) but more and more people do it.
