History of the Philippines for Dummies

Got this fron YouTube. Cute even if there are inaccuracies plus other trivias:

1. Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese in the service of Spain
2. The British took Manila from Spain in 1762
2. The French forcibly took Basilan in 1865 from the Sultanate of Sulu
3. Germany, France, Japan and Britain wanted to take Manila in 1898
4. The USofA ruled RP for much more than 10 years. They came here under pretense of liberators but instead their republic of the free turned into an empire they justified as their manifest destiny.

So many things you ought to know about history not taught in schools.

History recorded by Filipino eyes as well as others not American.

History taught us by Americans are distorted in their favor.
