  3. There is this new resort thats called Les Caraibes Beach Resort. I think it's the best in San Juan right now. They have the best food cooked by a french chef and the price is 750 which is inclusive of breakfast lunch merienda and dinner. You can also order your food a la carte! The a la carte menu is cheaper than the 750 meal package which is awesome. The place is very spacious and very clean. I even got to drink with the chef and the owners who really enjoy their business and are not snubish like the other resort owners. check out their website www.lescaraibesresort.com

  13. hello people,Laiya, san juan batangas is our haven to unwind and relax since we knew the place. laiya is much better than matabungkay and nasugbu. beach and water wise. actually, 3 yrs back, only a few resorts and few people knew about laiya. but now its getting to be crowded. Aquatica is the newest there and its NEW about 6 months old and category is 5 star i should say. rates and rooms wise. it has an infinity pool. stayed there last valentines day just for the occassion. but my regular place to stay is BALAI because its peaceful and its beach front.

  17. HI guys, i've been to laiya recently... you may check out white cove resort (its right after kabayan resort) their smallest room with a/c is good for 4 pax (3,500/night). The resort is relatively new. very cozy and stylish (esp during evening). Its perfect for big groups and couples as well..there's no corkage fee if you bring in food or drinks.

the food was good too..you'll really know its fresh.

  27. went to Laiya, White Cove this holy week 2010 and I was really disappointed. The place is nice but the crew is not so friendly. When we arrived, reception people were ok but they did not even offered to assist us, lead us to where we can wait till our room can be accommodated. Then, our dinner was served around 9pm already! Ang tagal ng set-up! It was by the beach and lighting was very poor, so you have to guess what kind of food is served. Our meal package is good for 3. We were served 3 viands (mixed veggies, 3 small pcs tilapia w/c i don’t even know what kind of sauce it has, 4cups rice, 2pcs small sliced watermelon & 2pcs small sized pineapple, 1 round softdrinks-coke/sprite). It was not good. Had I not requested the waiter for addtional food, that was our dinner “P316/head”. 2 liters of softdrinks was shared by around 20 people! The next day, my sis-in-law had breakfast first and she just got a small portion of food, when she returned at the breakfast buffet to get a second round, the crew told her that the buffet is only good for one round! Me and my hubby got our breakfast around 9am and there was no one there to serve/assist us. There were hardly no food left (tuna, egg, esp tocino-portioned into 3). Buffet lunch is by portion too! 1pc of each viand, though this time had 4 choices. Our ordered shakes/drinks took so long everytime as well as our ordered additional lunch. When we followed up, the crew we asked would not take responsibility in delivering our meals in our table (it was already labeled by my name and he said “di ko po alam yan!”. They knew they had a lot of guests, they should have added more crew to serve their guests! Or their few staffs could have been more friendly and accommodating. I felt they were very discriminating…sorry for the term but “yung feeling na ginugulangan mo sila” sa food…that they promote as “buffet” (1 time serving only and by portion!). We were suppose to have a relaxing weekend but instead got pissed with the kind of service we experienced at Laiya White Cove. I really want to pose this comment to warn guests who would go there… :( Other reco resorts in LAIYA is COCO GROVE (their buffet is superb!), VIRGIN BEACH RESORT, LA LUZ, OR AQUATICO... :)

  30. Been to Acuatico resort last january and we had a wonderful time there with the whole family. Food was sumptuous and a lot of choices during breakfast buffet. The staff/crew are also very accomodating. They always greet you with a smile. Even the owner asked us if he can help with carrying our stuff when we checked out :) The infinity pool was a great place for some photo shooting and just relaxing while watching the sunset.

  34. guys if you are planning to rent a tourist bus, don't ever make a deal with Galatian Bus Lines (yellow-colored). We had a

    very bad experience with them.

    here's what happened:

our wedding will be held in one of the resorts in san juan batangas. we were looking for a tourist bus which will serve as a

transportation for the majority of our guests. we saw the Galatian's ad in the internet (not sure if it's sulit.com.ph) and

dialed the cel# and landline posted in the ad. i think it was 3 weeks before our wedding. someone named raymond answered and

we discussed the terms. thinking that we were already in a hurry and we've tried several tourist bus operators but we cant

find an available bus on our wedding date; i agreed to pay 11k as a down payment(it was also my fault that i did not ask for

a contract). raymond was very accomodating and we even had sms exchanges several days before the wedding. I even went to

their location in bicas, caloocan just to see their bus (satisfactory rating) and to make sure that we have a bus which will

transport our guests from manila to batangas.

one day before the wedding, we were already in san juan. batangas. at around 530am, my sister was calling me to tell that the

bus hasn't arrived yet. the agreed time was 5am. i and my fiancee were calling raymond in his cellphone and landline, but no

one answered us. alas, at around 545am. there came a bus(as my sister narrated), old, not the tourist bus that we agreed(it

was a passenger bus not named Galatian) and the aircon is worn out and not working properly. so it was very hot inside the

bus (imagine traveling from manila to san juan, batangas in that condition). worse, the drive didn't even know that we

already made a downpayment with raymond and on monday (the day after the wedding) the driver said that the bus was in coding

that's why we cannot arrive in manila before 5pm. and to think that our checkout time in laiya is 11am. it was a very

irritating experience for me and my wife and to our families and friends inside.

if you don't want to experience that, dont even think of dealing with Galatian bus lines ( raymond/shirley)

  36. We went to Dakila Beach Resort In Laiya-Hugom. We wanted a Beach Front Cottage and found the nicest family Hotel-Style Cottage with Kitchen and Large Bedroom and a beautiful dining deck upstairs they call cottage #3. We were so suprised how much the cottage was, we thought it would cost alot more but surprisingly it was very much within our budget. If you are looking for a nice resort and want to keep your budget low with a large family I strongly urge you to check out these cottages. There were many to choose from and the staff was extremly friendly and helpful with what ever we needed they did provide for us. We only had to bring our own food and drink they supplies all the cook and diningware, there phone # is 09293797724. This is by far the best buy for the money and also the best kept secret in all of Laiya Resorts.
