Part of the group's itinerary after visiting churches of Tayabas, Sariaya and Lucban is a short pilgrimage to the popular Kamay ni Hesus Shrine on the slopes of Mt. Banahaw.
Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church is a serene place for a spiritual journey where Catholic pilgrims experience a peaceful and tranquil environment while praying and meditating. It is now an ideal destination for pilgrims and tourists not only during Holy Week but throughout the year. Holy masses are celebrated almost daily while healing masses celebrated by noted healing priest Fr. Joey Faller.

How to get to Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church, Lucban, Quezon:
driving directions to Kamay ni Hesus/route to Kamay ni Hesus:
The shrine's large statue of Jesus is highly visible from the highway of Lucban and is hard to miss. In going there by car coming from northern Metro Manila (e.g. Quezon City), you may take the Rizal route to Laguna then to the road going to Lucban, Quezon in Pagsanjan and Luisiana town.
From SLEX: Take Calamba exit, drive towards Calamba city proper then turn right at the junction. Head straight on the highway passing by Los Banos, Bay, Victoria, Pila, Sta. Cruz and Pagsanjan. Once you get to Pagsanjan Church, turn right (Pagsanjan Town Hall) going to Luisiana town. Head straight again towards Lucban, Quezon. The Shrine, with its highly visible large statue, is about a kilometer from Lucban Town Proper.
An alternate route, for adventurous driving experience (and longer that is) is via Sto. Tomas-San Pablo- Lucena route.
How to Commute to Kamay ni Hesus:
For commuters: Take a JAM Transit or JAC Liner bus to Lucena at Kamuning Bus Terminal or LRT Buendia Bus Terminal on Taft Avenue (Pasay). At Lucena Grand Central Terminal take a Lucban-bound jeepney to Lucban and alight at the grotto.
Alternatively:
you may take HM Transport or DLTB bus on EDSA, Cubao, Quezon City or DLTB bus at Taft corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia near LRT Buendia station). Buses going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. In Sta. Cruz (pagsawitan or even at Pagsanjan town plaza), transfer to jumbo-jeeps going to Lucena via Lucban and Tayabas. travel time here is about 3.5 hours, Fare is around PhP175.00 (bus + jeepney already)

Outside kamay, there are many waiting tricycles to bring them back to the hotel. A must try is the pancit habhab & the delicious pizza restos near the hotel.

ReplyDeletehow much would it cost if i commute from taft to kamay ni hesus? do you know of any close hotels or rooms that is affordable where i could spend overnight? tnx!
ReplyDeleteanonymous, no entrance fee at kamay ni hesus, you donate any amount though (not required) at the chapel near the popular pilgrimage site
ReplyDeleteanonymous, no idea on bus and jeepney fares to lucban. for accommodations in Lucban, Batis Aramin resort is just in front of Kamay ni Hesus. There're also hotels in Tayabas, Quezon where you can stay overnight.
I'm from Lucban, Quezon but I'm working here in Manila. Best route to take is via Calamba and Los Banos. From taft terminal Greenstar Bus station, as of this date it cost P145/head going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna passing by Laguna towns Calamba,Los Baños,Bay,Calauan,Victoria,Pila then Sta. Cruz (Pagsawitan) rotunda, there you will see the jeep terminal going to Lucban, Quezon cost is P45/head. You will pass by towns of Pagsanjan, Cavinti and Luisiana then Lucban. You may jump off near Buddy's Restaurant and ride a tricycle going to Kamay ni Hesus and it cost P15/head if you have companions, otherwise you'll pay P30 being solo. No entrance fee to get inside the grotto but you may give donations. To return to manila you may wait for the Sta. Cruz jeep coming from Lucena City in front of Kamay ni Hesus Main Gate or go to the Lucban market where you can find the jeep terminal going to Sta. Cruz which I think the last trip is 5pm. You will jump off JAM Terminal in Sta. Cruz to ride bus going to LRT taft. If you prefer to stay overnight you may visit this site to check for accommodations aramin.ph or www.kamayansapalaisdaan.com.ph.
ReplyDeletehope this could help.

ReplyDeleteMy friends and I will be going there tomorrow! Looking forward to a meaningful and blessed Holy week! Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteWent to Kamay ni Hesus yesterday. We went there at around 2P.M. We took the Sto. Tomas, San Pablo, Nagcarlan, Liliw, Majayjay route. You have to be adventurous in choosing this route. We arrived at around 5P.M. with some traffic at Nagcarlan and Lucban. Went home at around 7P.M. but this time we took the Luisiana, Sta. Cruz, Los Banos route. Road is better compared to the previous route. We stop by at Pagsanjan church and ate for 45 mins. We arrived at Calamba at around 10P.M. Yeah, it is better to take the Los Banos, Sta. Cruz route.
ReplyDeleteThere is a shorter route to Lucban. Take the road from Calauan to Nagcarlan, then on to Liliw, Majayjay and then Lucban. Calauan-Lucban is only about 40kms on nicely-paved, narrow and winding road. You will see centuries-old churches in the 3 towns along the way. The shrine is just 2 kms from Lucban town proper.
ReplyDeleteHi, my group, the Mandaluyong Fitness Club is scheduled to visit Kamay ni Hesus on June 15, 2011. As our name suggests we're from Mandaluyong City. ReplyDeleteto anyone who is going to kamay ni jesus, across the shrine is a resort called batis aramin. the place is a paradise. it has many amenities like hotel rooms, swimming pools (many), zip line, wall climbing, biking and fishing adventure, etc. since the weather in the area is cool like in tagaytay, u dont need a room with an aircon. u can sleep at night with open windows to let the cool, natural breeze because there are no mosquitoes. the bathrooms are equipped with water heater. the place is really a paradise. the foods being served are also delicious. their rate is also affordable. families with children, teenagers, college students, yuppies, parents and senior citizens will surely enjoy the ambiance and fresh air of the place. we recently had our company seminar in the place and we paricipants really enjoyed our stay in this paradise resort.
